The marriage date is estimated to be about 1970 from records that show that this would have been Johannes's fourth marriage. The last child born to his third marriage was in 1769. The first child born to this marriage was in 1971. If we assume this first child was conceived in wedlock and then subtract nine months from this date of birth, we can then assume that the marriage occurred sometime in early 1770. Since it appears that the last children from his third marriage were born in Oud-Vossemeer and the first children from his fourth marriage were also born there. I hassume that the marriage also was in Oud-Vossemeer. However, these claims cannot be verified with primary source documents at this time.
